Psalm 91
NASB Parallel HCSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995Holman Christian Standard Bible
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.1The one who lives under the protection of the Most High dwells in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!"2I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper And from the deadly pestilence.3He Himself will deliver you from the hunter's net, from the destructive plague.
He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.4He will cover you with His feathers; you will take refuge under His wings. His faithfulness will be a protective shield.
You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day;5You will not fear the terror of the night, the arrow that flies by day,
Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.6the plague that stalks in darkness, or the pestilence that ravages at noon.
A thousand may fall at your side And ten thousand at your right hand, But it shall not approach you.7Though a thousand fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, the pestilence will not reach you.
You will only look on with your eyes And see the recompense of the wicked.8You will only see it with your eyes and witness the punishment of the wicked.
For you have made the LORD, my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place.9Because you have made the LORD--my refuge, the Most High--your dwelling place,
No evil will befall you, Nor will any plague come near your tent.10no harm will come to you; no plague will come near your tent.
For He will give His angels charge concerning you, To guard you in all your ways.11For He will give His angels orders concerning you, to protect you in all your ways.
They will bear you up in their hands, That you do not strike your foot against a stone.12They will support you with their hands so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
You will tread upon the lion and cobra, The young lion and the serpent you will trample down.13You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the young lion and the serpent.
"Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name.14Because he is lovingly devoted to Me, I will deliver him; I will protect him because he knows My name.
"He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.15When he calls out to Me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble. I will rescue him and give him honor.
"With a long life I will satisfy him And let him see My salvation."16I will satisfy him with a long life and show him My salvation.
