Psalm 91
NASB Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995New Living Translation
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.1Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!"2This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.
For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper And from the deadly pestilence.3For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease.
He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.4He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day;5Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day.
Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.6Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side And ten thousand at your right hand, But it shall not approach you.7Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you.
You will only look on with your eyes And see the recompense of the wicked.8Just open your eyes, and see how the wicked are punished.
For you have made the LORD, my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place.9If you make the LORD your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter,
No evil will befall you, Nor will any plague come near your tent.10no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home.
For He will give His angels charge concerning you, To guard you in all your ways.11For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go.
They will bear you up in their hands, That you do not strike your foot against a stone.12They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.
You will tread upon the lion and cobra, The young lion and the serpent you will trample down.13You will trample upon lions and cobras; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet!
"Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name.14The LORD says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name.
"He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.15When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them.
"With a long life I will satisfy him And let him see My salvation."16I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.”
