Psalm 91
NASB Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995New International Version
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.1Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!"2I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper And from the deadly pestilence.3Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.4He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day;5You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.6nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side And ten thousand at your right hand, But it shall not approach you.7A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
You will only look on with your eyes And see the recompense of the wicked.8You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
For you have made the LORD, my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place.9If you say, "The LORD is my refuge," and you make the Most High your dwelling,
No evil will befall you, Nor will any plague come near your tent.10no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.
For He will give His angels charge concerning you, To guard you in all your ways.11For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;
They will bear you up in their hands, That you do not strike your foot against a stone.12they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
You will tread upon the lion and cobra, The young lion and the serpent you will trample down.13You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
"Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name.14"Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
"He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.15He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
"With a long life I will satisfy him And let him see My salvation."16With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation."
