| 1For the choir director. A Psalm of David. The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. | 1The heavens are declaring the glory of God, and their expanse shows the work of his hands. |
| 2Day to day pours forth speech, And night to night reveals knowledge. | 2Day after day they pour forth speech, night after night they reveal knowledge. |
