NASB Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995New Living Translation
For the choir director. A Psalm of David. The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.1The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship.
Day to day pours forth speech, And night to night reveals knowledge.2Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known.
There is no speech, nor are there words; Their voice is not heard.3They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard.
Their line has gone out through all the earth, And their utterances to the end of the world. In them He has placed a tent for the sun,4Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. God has made a home in the heavens for the sun.
Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber; It rejoices as a strong man to run his course.5It bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding. It rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race.
Its rising is from one end of the heavens, And its circuit to the other end of them; And there is nothing hidden from its heat.6The sun rises at one end of the heavens and follows its course to the other end. Nothing can hide from its heat.
The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.7The instructions of the LORD are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.8The commandments of the LORD are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are clear, giving insight for living.
The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the LORD are true; they are righteous altogether.9Reverence for the LORD is pure, lasting forever. The laws of the LORD are true; each one is fair.
They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb.10They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb.
Moreover, by them Your servant is warned; In keeping them there is great reward.11They are a warning to your servant, a great reward for those who obey them.
Who can discern his errors? Acquit me of hidden faults.12How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults.
Also keep back Your servant from presumptuous sins; Let them not rule over me; Then I will be blameless, And I shall be acquitted of great transgression.13Keep your servant from deliberate sins! Don’t let them control me. Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer.14May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.
