A thief must surely make full restitution; if he has nothing, then he will be sold for his theft.
4"If what he stole is actually found alive in his possession, whether an ox or a donkey or a sheep, he shall pay double.4If the stolen item should in fact be found alive in his possession, whether it be an ox or a donkey or a sheep, he must pay back double.

8"If the thief is not caught, then the owner of the house shall appear before the judges, to determine whether he laid his hands on his neighbor's property.8If the thief is not caught, then the owner of the house will be brought before the judges to see whether he has laid his hand on his neighbor's goods.

10"If a man gives his neighbor a donkey, an ox, a sheep, or any animal to keep for him, and it dies or is hurt or is driven away while no one is looking,10If a man gives his neighbor a donkey or an ox or a sheep or any beast to keep, and it dies or is hurt or is carried away without anyone seeing it,

And it shall come about that when he cries out to Me, I will hear him, for I am gracious.27for it is his only covering--it is his garment for his body. What else can he sleep in?
