The LORD spoke to Moses:1The LORD said to Moses,
"Speak to the Israelites and tell them, 'When you enter the land where you are to live, which I am giving you,2"Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'After you enter the land I am giving you as a home
and you make an offering by fire to the LORD from the herd or from the flock (whether a burnt offering or a sacrifice for discharging a vow or as a freewill offering or in your solemn feasts) to create a pleasing aroma to the LORD,3and you present to the LORD food offerings from the herd or the flock, as an aroma pleasing to the LORD--whether burnt offerings or sacrifices, for special vows or freewill offerings or festival offerings--
then the one who presents his offering to the LORD must bring a grain offering of one-tenth of an ephah of finely ground flour mixed with one fourth of a hin of olive oil.4then the person who brings an offering shall present to the LORD a grain offering of a tenth of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with a quarter of a hin of olive oil.
You must also prepare one-fourth of a hin of wine for a drink offering with the burnt offering or the sacrifice for each lamb.5With each lamb for the burnt offering or the sacrifice, prepare a quarter of a hin of wine as a drink offering.
Or for a ram, you must prepare as a grain offering two-tenths of an ephah of finely ground flour mixed with one-third of a hin of olive oil,6"'With a ram prepare a grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with a third of a hin of olive oil,
and for a drink offering you must offer one-third of a hin of wine as a pleasing aroma to the LORD.7and a third of a hin of wine as a drink offering. Offer it as an aroma pleasing to the LORD.
And when you prepare a young bull as a burnt offering or a sacrifice for discharging a vow or as a peace offering to the LORD,8"'When you prepare a young bull as a burnt offering or sacrifice, for a special vow or a fellowship offering to the LORD,
then a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of finely ground flour mixed with half a hin of olive oil must be presented with the young bull,9bring with the bull a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with half a hin of olive oil,
and you must present as the drink offering half a hin of wine with the fire offering as a pleasing aroma to the LORD.10and also bring half a hin of wine as a drink offering. This will be a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the LORD.
This is what is to be done for each ox, or each ram, or each of the male lambs or the goats.11Each bull or ram, each lamb or young goat, is to be prepared in this manner.
You must do so for each one according to the number that you prepare. 12Do this for each one, for as many as you prepare.
"'Every native-born person must do these things in this way to present an offering made by fire as a pleasing aroma to the LORD.13"'Everyone who is native-born must do these things in this way when they present a food offering as an aroma pleasing to the LORD.
If a resident foreigner is living with you--or whoever is among you in future generations--and prepares an offering made by fire as a pleasing aroma to the LORD, he must do it the same way you are to do it.14For the generations to come, whenever a foreigner or anyone else living among you presents a food offering as an aroma pleasing to the LORD, they must do exactly as you do.
One statute must apply to you who belong to the congregation and to the resident foreigner who is living among you, as a permanent statute for your future generations. You and the resident foreigner will be alike before the LORD.15The community is to have the same rules for you and for the foreigner residing among you; this is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come. You and the foreigner shall be the same before the LORD:
One law and one custom must apply to you and to the resident foreigner who lives alongside you.'" 16The same laws and regulations will apply both to you and to the foreigner residing among you.'"
The LORD spoke to Moses:17The LORD said to Moses,
"Speak to the Israelites and tell them, 'When you enter the land to which I am bringing you18"Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'When you enter the land to which I am taking you
and you eat some of the food of the land, you must offer up a raised offering to the LORD.19and you eat the food of the land, present a portion as an offering to the LORD.
You must offer up a cake of the first of your finely ground flour as a raised offering; as you offer the raised offering of the threshing floor, so you must offer it up.20Present a loaf from the first of your ground meal and present it as an offering from the threshing floor.
You must give to the LORD some of the first of your finely ground flour as a raised offering in your future generations. 21Throughout the generations to come you are to give this offering to the LORD from the first of your ground meal.
"'If you sin unintentionally and do not observe all these commandments that the LORD has spoken to Moses--22"'Now if you as a community unintentionally fail to keep any of these commands the LORD gave Moses--
all that the LORD has commanded you by the authority of Moses, from the day that the LORD commanded Moses and continuing through your future generations--23any of the LORD's commands to you through him, from the day the LORD gave them and continuing through the generations to come--
then if anything is done unintentionally without the knowledge of the community, the whole community must prepare one young bull for a burnt offering--for a pleasing aroma to the LORD--along with its grain offering and its customary drink offering, and one male goat for a purification offering.24and if this is done unintentionally without the community being aware of it, then the whole community is to offer a young bull for a burnt offering as an aroma pleasing to the LORD, along with its prescribed grain offering and drink offering, and a male goat for a sin offering.
And the priest is to make atonement for the whole community of the Israelites, and they will be forgiven, because it was unintentional and they have brought their offering, an offering made by fire to the LORD, and their purification offering before the LORD, for their unintentional offense.25The priest is to make atonement for the whole Israelite community, and they will be forgiven, for it was not intentional and they have presented to the LORD for their wrong a food offering and a sin offering.
And the whole community of the Israelites and the resident foreigner who lives among them will be forgiven, since all the people were involved in the unintentional offense. 26The whole Israelite community and the foreigners residing among them will be forgiven, because all the people were involved in the unintentional wrong.
"'If any person sins unintentionally, then he must bring a yearling female goat for a purification offering.27"'But if just one person sins unintentionally, that person must bring a year-old female goat for a sin offering.
And the priest must make atonement for the person who sins unintentionally--when he sins unintentionally before the LORD--to make atonement for him, and he will be forgiven.28The priest is to make atonement before the LORD for the one who erred by sinning unintentionally, and when atonement has been made, that person will be forgiven.
You must have one law for the person who sins unintentionally, both for the native-born among the Israelites and for the resident foreigner who lives among them. 29One and the same law applies to everyone who sins unintentionally, whether a native-born Israelite or a foreigner residing among you.
"'But the person who acts defiantly, whether native-born or a resident foreigner, insults the LORD. That person must be cut off from among his people.30"'But anyone who sins defiantly, whether native-born or foreigner, blasphemes the LORD and must be cut off from the people of Israel.
Because he has despised the word of the LORD and has broken his commandment, that person must be completely cut off. His iniquity will be on him.'" 31Because they have despised the LORD's word and broken his commands, they must surely be cut off; their guilt remains on them.'"
When the Israelites were in the wilderness they found a man gathering wood on the Sabbath day.32While the Israelites were in the wilderness, a man was found gathering wood on the Sabbath day.
Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and to the whole community.33Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly,
They put him in custody, because there was no clear instruction about what should be done to him.34and they kept him in custody, because it was not clear what should be done to him.
Then the LORD said to Moses, "The man must surely be put to death; the whole community must stone him with stones outside the camp."35Then the LORD said to Moses, "The man must die. The whole assembly must stone him outside the camp."
So the whole community took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, just as the LORD commanded Moses. 36So the assembly took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD commanded Moses.
The LORD spoke to Moses:37The LORD said to Moses,
"Speak to the Israelites and tell them to make tassels for themselves on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and put a blue thread on the tassel of the corners.38"Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'Throughout the generations to come you are to make tassels on the corners of your garments, with a blue cord on each tassel.
You must have this tassel so that you may look at it and remember all the commandments of the LORD and obey them and so that you do not follow after your own heart and your own eyes that lead you to unfaithfulness.39You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of the LORD, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by chasing after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes.
Thus you will remember and obey all my commandments and be holy to your God.40Then you will remember to obey all my commands and will be consecrated to your God.
I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God. I am the LORD your God." 41I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt to be your God. I am the LORD your God.'"
