| 9Moses reported this to the Israelites, but they did not listen to him because of their discouragement and harsh labor. | 9Moses spoke thus to the people of Israel, but they did not listen to Moses, because of their broken spirit and harsh slavery. |
| 10Then the LORD said to Moses, | 10So the LORD said to Moses, |
| 11"Go, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the Israelites go out of his country." | 11“Go in, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the people of Israel go out of his land.” |
| 12But Moses said to the LORD, "If the Israelites will not listen to me, why would Pharaoh listen to me, since I speak with faltering lips?" | 12But Moses said to the LORD, “Behold, the people of Israel have not listened to me. How then shall Pharaoh listen to me, for I am of uncircumcised lips?” |
| 13Now the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron about the Israelites and Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he commanded them to bring the Israelites out of Egypt. | 13But the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron and gave them a charge about the people of Israel and about Pharaoh king of Egypt: to bring the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt. |
| 14These were the heads of their families: The sons of Reuben the firstborn son of Israel were Hanok and Pallu, Hezron and Karmi. | 25Eleazar son of Aaron married one of the daughters of Putiel, and she bore him Phinehas. | 27They were the ones who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt about bringing the Israelites out of Egypt--this same Moses and Aaron. | 27It was they who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt about bringing out the people of Israel from Egypt, this Moses and this Aaron. |
| 28Now when the LORD spoke to Moses in Egypt, | 28On the day when the LORD spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt, |
