| 2Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. | 2May Israel rejoice in its Maker, and Zion's descendants in their King! |
| 3Let them praise His name with the dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp. | 3May they praise his name with dancing, chanting songs to him with tambourines and lyres. |
| 4For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation. | 4For the LORD is pleased with his people; he beautifies the afflicted with salvation. |
