Psalm 30
NKJV Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionNew International Version
A Psalm. A Song at the dedication of the house of David. I will extol You, O LORD, for You have lifted me up, And have not let my foes rejoice over me.1A psalm. A song. For the dedication of the temple. Of David. I will exalt you, LORD, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me.
O LORD my God, I cried out to You, And You healed me.2LORD my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.
O LORD, You brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.3You, LORD, brought me up from the realm of the dead; you spared me from going down to the pit.
Sing praise to the LORD, you saints of His, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.4Sing the praises of the LORD, you his faithful people; praise his holy name.
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.5For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
Now in my prosperity I said, “I shall never be moved.”6When I felt secure, I said, "I will never be shaken."
LORD, by Your favor You have made my mountain stand strong; You hid Your face, and I was troubled.7LORD, when you favored me, you made my royal mountain stand firm; but when you hid your face, I was dismayed.
I cried out to You, O LORD; And to the LORD I made supplication:8To you, LORD, I called; to the Lord I cried for mercy:
“What profit is there in my blood, When I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your truth?9"What is gained if I am silenced, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it proclaim your faithfulness?
Hear, O LORD, and have mercy on me; LORD, be my helper!”10Hear, LORD, and be merciful to me; LORD, be my help."
You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,11You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever.12that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. LORD my God, I will praise you forever.
