Psalm 19
NLT Parallel BSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationBerean Study Bible
The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship.1For the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.
Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known.2Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.
They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard.3Without speech or language, without a sound to be heard,
Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. God has made a home in the heavens for the sun.4their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens He has pitched a tent for the sun.
It bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding. It rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race.5Like a bridegroom emerging from his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course,
The sun rises at one end of the heavens and follows its course to the other end. Nothing can hide from its heat.6it rises at one end of the heavens and runs its circuit to the other; nothing is deprived of its warmth.
The instructions of the LORD are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.7The Law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is trustworthy, making wise the simple.
The commandments of the LORD are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are clear, giving insight for living.8The precepts of the LORD are right, bringing joy to the heart; the commandments of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.
Reverence for the LORD is pure, lasting forever. The laws of the LORD are true; each one is fair.9The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever; the judgments of the LORD are true, being altogether righteous.
They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb.10They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb.
They are a warning to your servant, a great reward for those who obey them.11By them indeed Your servant is warned; in keeping them is great reward.
How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults.12Who can discern his own errors? Cleanse me from my hidden faults.
Keep your servant from deliberate sins! Don’t let them control me. Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin.13Keep Your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless and cleansed of great transgression.
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.14May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.
