NLT Parallel HCSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationHolman Christian Standard Bible
Praise the LORD! How good to sing praises to our God! How delightful and how fitting!1Hallelujah! How good it is to sing to our God, for praise is pleasant and lovely.
The LORD is rebuilding Jerusalem and bringing the exiles back to Israel.2The LORD rebuilds Jerusalem; He gathers Israel's exiled people.
He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.3He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
He counts the stars and calls them all by name.4He counts the number of the stars; He gives names to all of them.
How great is our Lord! His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension!5Our Lord is great, vast in power; His understanding is infinite.
The LORD supports the humble, but he brings the wicked down into the dust.6The LORD helps the afflicted but brings the wicked to the ground.
Sing out your thanks to the LORD; sing praises to our God with a harp.7Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; play the lyre to our God,
He covers the heavens with clouds, provides rain for the earth, and makes the grass grow in mountain pastures.8who covers the sky with clouds, prepares rain for the earth, and causes grass to grow on the hills.
He gives food to the wild animals and feeds the young ravens when they cry.9He provides the animals with their food, and the young ravens, what they cry for.
He takes no pleasure in the strength of a horse or in human might.10He is not impressed by the strength of a horse; He does not value the power of a man.
No, the LORD’s delight is in those who fear him, those who put their hope in his unfailing love.11The LORD values those who fear Him, those who put their hope in His faithful love.
Glorify the LORD, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion!12Exalt the LORD, Jerusalem; praise your God, Zion!
For he has strengthened the bars of your gates and blessed your children within your walls.13For He strengthens the bars of your gates and blesses your children within you.
He sends peace across your nation and satisfies your hunger with the finest wheat.14He endows your territory with prosperity; He satisfies you with the finest wheat.
He sends his orders to the world— how swiftly his word flies!15He sends His command throughout the earth; His word runs swiftly.
He sends the snow like white wool; he scatters frost upon the ground like ashes.16He spreads snow like wool; He scatters frost like ashes;
He hurls the hail like stones. Who can stand against his freezing cold?17He throws His hailstones like crumbs. Who can withstand His cold?
Then, at his command, it all melts. He sends his winds, and the ice thaws.18He sends His word and melts them; He unleashes His winds, and the waters flow.
He has revealed his words to Jacob, his decrees and regulations to Israel.19He declares His word to Jacob, His statutes and judgments to Israel.
He has not done this for any other nation; they do not know his regulations. Praise the LORD!20He has not done this for any nation; they do not know His judgments. Hallelujah!
