Rise up, O God, and scatter your enemies. Let those who hate God run for their lives.1For the choir director. A Davidic psalm. A song. God arises. His enemies scatter, and those who hate Him flee from His presence.
Blow them away like smoke. Melt them like wax in a fire. Let the wicked perish in the presence of God.2As smoke is blown away, so You blow them away. As wax melts before the fire, so the wicked are destroyed before God.
But let the godly rejoice. Let them be glad in God’s presence. Let them be filled with joy.3But the righteous are glad; they rejoice before God and celebrate with joy.
Sing praises to God and to his name! Sing loud praises to him who rides the clouds. His name is the LORD— rejoice in his presence!4Sing to God! Sing praises to His name. Exalt Him who rides on the clouds -- His name is Yahweh--and rejoice before Him.

God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy. But he makes the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.6God provides homes for those who are deserted. He leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious live in a scorched land.
O God, when you led your people out from Egypt, when you marched through the dry wasteland, Interlude7God, when You went out before Your people, when You marched through the desert, Selah

You sent abundant rain, O God, to refresh the weary land.9You, God, showered abundant rain; You revived Your inheritance when it languished.
There your people finally settled, and with a bountiful harvest, O God, you provided for your needy people.10Your people settled in it; God, You provided for the poor by Your goodness.
The Lord gives the word, and a great army brings the good news.11The Lord gave the command; a great company of women brought the good news:"
Enemy kings and their armies flee, while the women of Israel divide the plunder.12The kings of the armies flee--they flee!" She who stays at home divides the spoil.
Even those who lived among the sheepfolds found treasures— doves with wings of silver and feathers of gold.13While you lie among the sheepfolds, the wings of a dove are covered with silver, and its feathers with glistening gold.

The mountains of Bashan are majestic, with many peaks stretching high into the sky.15Mount Bashan is God's towering mountain; Mount Bashan is a mountain of many peaks.
Why do you look with envy, O rugged mountains, at Mount Zion, where God has chosen to live, where the LORD himself will live forever?16Why gaze with envy, you mountain peaks, at the mountain God desired for His dwelling? The LORD will live there forever!
Surrounded by unnumbered thousands of chariots, the Lord came from Mount Sinai into his sanctuary.17God's chariots are tens of thousands, thousands and thousands; the Lord is among them in the sanctuary as He was at Sinai.
When you ascended to the heights, you led a crowd of captives. You received gifts from the people, even from those who rebelled against you. Now the LORD God will live among us there.18You ascended to the heights, taking away captives; You received gifts from people, even from the rebellious, so that the LORD God might live there.
Praise the Lord; praise God our savior! For each day he carries us in his arms. Interlude19May the Lord be praised! Day after day He bears our burdens; God is our salvation. Selah
