| 3He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. | 3He is the one who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, |
| 4He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. | 4who delivers your life from the Pit, who crowns you with his loyal love and compassion, |
| 5He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s! | 5who satisfies your life with good things, so your youth is renewed like an eagle's. |
| 6The LORD gives righteousness and justice to all who are treated unfairly. | 6The LORD does what is fair, and executes justice for all the oppressed. |
| 7He revealed his character to Moses and his deeds to the people of Israel. | 7The LORD revealed his faithful acts to Moses, his deeds to the Israelites. |
| 8The LORD is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. | 8The LORD is compassionate and merciful; he is patient and demonstrates great loyal love. |
| 9He will not constantly accuse us, nor remain angry forever. | 9He does not always accuse, and does not stay angry. |

| 14For he knows how weak we are; he remembers we are only dust. | 14For he knows what we are made of; he realizes we are made of clay. |
| 15Our days on earth are like grass; like wildflowers, we bloom and die. | 15A person's life is like grass. Like a flower in the field it flourishes, |
| 16The wind blows, and we are gone— as though we had never been here. | 16but when the hot wind blows by, it disappears, and one can no longer even spot the place where it once grew. |
| 17But the love of the LORD remains forever with those who fear him. His salvation extends to the children’s children | 17But the LORD continually shows loyal love to his faithful followers, and is faithful to their descendants, |
| 18of those who are faithful to his covenant, of those who obey his commandments! | 18to those who keep his covenant, who are careful to obey his commands. |
| 19The LORD has made the heavens his throne; from there he rules over everything. | 19The LORD has established his throne in heaven; his kingdom extends over everything. |
