Spiritual Gifts Bestowed

NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
1Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed.1Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed.1Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware.1Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.1Now concerning what comes from the Spirit: brothers, I do not want you to be unaware.
2You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols.2You know that when you were pagans you were led astray to mute idols, however you were led.2You know that when you were pagans, you were led astray to the mute idols, however you were led.2Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.2You know that when you were pagans, you used to be led off to the idols that could not speak.
3Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus be cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.3Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is accursed!” and no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit.3Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus is accursed"; and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.3Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.3Therefore I am informing you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus is cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.
4There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them.4Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit;4Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit.4Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.4Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit.
NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
5There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.5and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord;5And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord.5And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.5There are different ministries, but the same Lord.
6There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.6and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.6There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons.6And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.6And there are different activities, but the same God activates each gift in each person.
7Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.7To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.7But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.7But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.7A demonstration of the Spirit is given to each person to produce what is beneficial:
8To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit,8For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit,8For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit;8For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;8to one is given a message of wisdom through the Spirit, to another, a message of knowledge by the same Spirit,
9to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,9to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,9to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,9To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;9to another, faith by the same Spirit, to another, gifts of healing by the one Spirit,

10to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.10to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.10and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues.10To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:10to another, the performing of miracles, to another, prophecy, to another, distinguishing between spirits, to another, different kinds of languages, to another, interpretation of languages.
11All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.11All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.11But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.11But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.11But one and the same Spirit is active in all these, distributing to each person as He wills.

Many Members, One Body

NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
12Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.12For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.12For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ.12For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.12For as the body is one and has many parts, and all the parts of that body, though many, are one body--so also is Christ.
13For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body--whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free--and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.13For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.13For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.13For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.13For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body--whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free--and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
14Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.14For the body does not consist of one member but of many.14For the body is not one member, but many.14For the body is not one member, but many.14So the body is not one part but many.
15Now if the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason stop being part of the body.15If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body.15If the foot says, "Because I am not a hand, I am not a part of the body," it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body.15If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?15If the foot should say, "Because I'm not a hand, I don't belong to the body," in spite of this it still belongs to the body.
NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
16And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason stop being part of the body.16And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body.16And if the ear says, "Because I am not an eye, I am not a part of the body," it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body.16And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?16And if the ear should say, "Because I'm not an eye, I don't belong to the body," in spite of this it still belongs to the body.
17If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?17If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell?17If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the sense of smell be?17If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?17If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?
18But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.18But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose.18But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired.18But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.18But now God has placed each one of the parts in one body just as He wanted.
19If they were all one part, where would the body be?19If all were a single member, where would the body be?19If they were all one member, where would the body be?19And if they were all one member, where were the body?19And if they were all the same part, where would the body be?
20As it is, there are many parts, but one body.20As it is, there are many parts, yet one body.20But now there are many members, but one body.20But now are they many members, yet but one body.20Now there are many parts, yet one body.
NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
21The eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you!" And the head cannot say to the feet, "I don't need you!"21The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.”21And the eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need of you"; or again the head to the feet, "I have no need of you."21And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.21So the eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you!" Or again, the head can't say to the feet, "I don't need you!"
22On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable,22On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable,22On the contrary, it is much truer that the members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary;22Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:22But even more, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are necessary.
23and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty,23and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty,23and those members of the body which we deem less honorable, on these we bestow more abundant honor, and our less presentable members become much more presentable,23And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.23And those parts of the body that we think to be less honorable, we clothe these with greater honor, and our unpresentable parts have a better presentation.
24while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it,24which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it,24whereas our more presentable members have no need of it. But God has so composed the body, giving more abundant honor to that member which lacked,24For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:24But our presentable parts have no need of clothing. Instead, God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the less honorable,
25so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.25that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another.25so that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another.25That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.25so that there would be no division in the body, but that the members would have the same concern for each other.
NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
26If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.26If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.26And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.26And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.26So if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
27Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.27Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.27Now you are Christ's body, and individually members of it.27Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.27Now you are the body of Christ, and individual members of it.
