In what ways can we "see all that the LORD your God" has done? Key Verse “Your own eyes have seen every great work that the LORD has done.” (Deuteronomy 11:7) Through the Written Word • Genesis to Revelation records His mighty acts—creation (Genesis 1), deliverance at the Red Sea (Exodus 14), conquest of Jericho (Joshua 6), preservation in exile (Daniel 6), miracles of Christ (Luke 7:22), the cross and resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:3–4), and the promised new heaven and earth (Revelation 21:1). • Romans 15:4—“For everything that was written in the past was written for our instruction.” Reading and believing the historical accounts lets us “see” with the eyes of faith. In the Glory of Creation • Psalm 19:1—“The heavens declare the glory of God.” • Romans 1:20—His invisible attributes are “clearly seen” in what He has made. Sunrise, seasons, intricate design of life—all daily reminders of His power. In the Person and Work of Jesus Christ • Colossians 1:15—Christ is “the image of the invisible God.” • John 14:9—“Whoever has seen Me has seen the Father.” Watching Jesus heal, teach, die, and rise again in the Gospels reveals God’s character and redeeming love. In Personal Salvation Stories • Ephesians 2:4-6—He makes the spiritually dead alive. • 2 Corinthians 5:17—new creations testify that He still transforms lives. Every testimony of repentance and new birth is fresh evidence of His work. In Answered Prayer • Jeremiah 33:3—He invites us to call and promises to show “great and unsearchable things.” • 1 John 5:14-15—confidence that He hears and answers. Each answer is a visible sign of His active hand. In Loving Discipline and Faithful Provision • Deuteronomy 8:2-5—wilderness trials showed Israel God’s fatherly care. • Hebrews 12:10-11—His discipline yields a “harvest of righteousness.” Both chastening and provision display His commitment to our good. In the Fellowship and Growth of the Church • Acts 2:47—“The Lord added to their number daily.” Conversions, baptisms, discipleship, unity across cultures—evidence of His ongoing mission. • 1 Peter 2:9—the church, once in darkness, now proclaims His marvelous light. In Daily Providence • Matthew 6:26-30—He feeds birds and clothes lilies; His children experience the same care in employment, health, protection, and guidance. Cultivating Eyes That See • Meditate on Scripture regularly (Psalm 119:18). • Keep a gratitude journal of providences and answered prayers. • Share testimonies within your family and church (Psalm 145:4). • Walk by faith, expecting God to act in line with His promises (Hebrews 11:6). Every sphere—Scripture, creation, Christ, personal experience, the church—offers clear sightlines into “all that the LORD your God has done.” |
