How do we apply this to life today?
How can we "see all this" and apply it to our lives today?

Setting the Scene

Isaiah 48 records the LORD confronting Israel’s hardness of heart. He reminds them that every prophecy He spoke has come to pass, proving His absolute sovereignty. Verse 6 stands as a pivot:

“You have heard; see all this. And will you not declare it? From now on I will tell you of new things, hidden things unknown to you.” (Isaiah 48:6)

Seeing All This—Recognizing God’s Hand Today

• Fulfilled prophecy—historical proof that every word of God is trustworthy (Isaiah 46:9-10; Joshua 21:45).

• Preserved Scripture—the very fact we can open a Bible is evidence of His care (Psalm 12:6-7).

• Ongoing faithfulness—daily mercies, answered prayer, and the spread of the gospel (Lamentations 3:22-23; Acts 1:8).

• The new covenant—Christ’s completed work, foretold then accomplished (Jeremiah 31:31-34; Luke 22:20).

How to See: Practical Habits That Keep Spiritual Eyes Open

1. Daily Bible intake—read, study, and memorize, trusting every verse as literal truth (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

2. Intentional remembrance—keep a journal of answered prayers and fulfilled promises (Psalm 77:11-12).

3. Corporate worship—hear testimonies and teaching that highlight God’s activity (Hebrews 10:24-25).

4. Creation observation—let the natural world remind you of His power and precision (Romans 1:20).

5. Renewed mind—reject cultural cynicism; adopt Scripture’s perspective (Romans 12:2).

Declaring What We See

• Speak of His works in everyday conversations (Psalm 96:2-3).

• Teach children and new believers the stories of God’s faithfulness (Deuteronomy 6:6-9).

• Share personal testimonies of God’s intervention, giving Him credit, not coincidence (Revelation 12:11).

• Support missions and outreach that broadcast the gospel’s “new things” worldwide (Matthew 28:19-20).

Living Ready for the “New Things”

• Stay flexible—God may lead in unexpected directions, just as He raised up Cyrus for Israel’s release (Isaiah 45:1-4).

• Cultivate hope—His future plans are certain, including Christ’s return (John 14:3; Revelation 22:20).

• Practice obedience—swift compliance keeps the heart soft and receptive (James 1:22).

Everyday Application Checklist

□ Start today with a portion of Scripture, asking the Spirit to illuminate “all this.”

□ Recall one recent instance of God’s faithfulness; thank Him aloud.

□ Tell at least one person what you have seen God do.

□ Anticipate fresh guidance, trusting He continues to reveal “hidden things” to obedient hearts (1 Corinthians 2:9-10).
