How does God equip us today?
In what ways can we trust God to equip us for His purposes today?

The scene in Exodus 4:30—God supplies what He commands

“Aaron relayed everything the LORD had said to Moses, and he performed the signs before the people.” (Exodus 4:30)

God did not send Moses and Aaron out with bare words. He backed the message with visible signs so the people could believe and respond. That single verse previews the many ways the Lord still outfits His servants for the tasks He assigns.

God gives clear words

• Scripture remains our primary equipment.

 • 2 Timothy 3:16-17—“All Scripture is God-breathed…so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work.”

 • Psalm 119:105—His Word lights the path before the next step is taken.

• Because every word is true (John 17:17), we can act in confidence, knowing we are standing on solid ground.

• The more we store His Word in heart and mind, the more tools the Spirit has to guide, correct, and encourage while we serve.

God confirms with power

• Moses had his staff-turned-serpent; we have the indwelling Spirit’s power.

 • Acts 1:8—“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses…”

 • 1 Corinthians 12:7—gifts of the Spirit are given “for the common good.”

• When the assignment feels bigger than our capacity, remember Philippians 4:13—“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”

God supplies companions

• Aaron spoke alongside Moses; today God surrounds us with the Body of Christ.

 • Ecclesiastes 4:9-10—two are better than one; they lift each other up.

 • Ephesians 4:11-12—pastors, teachers, and fellow believers are given “to equip the saints for works of ministry.”

• Partnership keeps us balanced, accountable, and refreshed.

God shapes through providence

• Forty wilderness years prepared Moses; our life experiences are just as purposeful.

 • Romans 8:28—God works all things together for good to those who love Him.

 • Genesis 50:20—He turns what others meant for evil to serve His plans.

• Every closed door, unexpected delay, or hidden detour can be training for tasks we have not yet imagined.

God strengthens through His Spirit

Exodus 31:3—Bezalel was “filled with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability, and knowledge in all kinds of craftsmanship.”

• The same Spirit imparts wisdom, courage, and endurance today (Ephesians 3:16).

Hebrews 13:20-21—He “equip[s] you in every good thing to do His will, working in us what is pleasing in His sight.”

God completes what He begins

1 Thessalonians 5:24—“The One who calls you is faithful, and He will do it.”

Philippians 1:6—He finishes the good work He starts.

• Our role: obey the next step; His role: see the mission through.

Living it out today

• Immerse in Scripture daily; let His voice frame every decision.

• Rely on the Spirit rather than personal talent; pray for fresh filling (Ephesians 5:18).

• Serve in community—invite counsel, share burdens, celebrate victories.

• View circumstances—pleasant or painful—as Father-designed preparation.

• Step forward in faith, expecting God to supply whatever is lacking the moment it is needed.

Because the Lord who equipped Moses is unchanged (Malachi 3:6; Hebrews 13:8), we can pursue His purposes with quiet certainty: if He sends us, He will also supply us—every time, in every way.

How does Exodus 4:30 connect with God's earlier promises in Exodus 3:18?
