How to daily rejoice in God's salvation?
How can we "rejoice and be glad" in God's salvation daily?

Setting Our Hearts on Psalm 70:4

“May all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; may those who love Your salvation always say, ‘Let God be magnified!’ ”

What It Means to “Love Your Salvation”

• God’s rescue is personal—He “has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son” (Colossians 1:13).

• Salvation is complete—past (Ephesians 2:8), present (1 Corinthians 1:18), and future (1 Peter 1:5).

• Loving that salvation means delighting in the Savior Himself, not merely the benefits (Psalm 73:25-26).

Reasons We Can Rejoice, Right Now

• God’s work is finished: “It is finished” (John 19:30).

• Our standing is secure: “There is now no condemnation” (Romans 8:1).

• His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).

• Joy is commanded and supplied: “Rejoice in the Lord always” (Philippians 4:4) and “the joy of the LORD is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10).

Practicing Daily Gladness in Salvation

1. Start with truth

– Begin each morning by reading or quoting a salvation promise (Isaiah 12:2-3; Psalm 5:11).

2. Sing it out

– “Sing to the LORD, bless His name; proclaim His salvation day after day” (Psalm 96:2).

3. Speak it often

– Tell someone what Christ has done for you; joy multiplies when shared (Psalm 107:2).

4. Savor God in prayerful thankfulness

– List specific gospel blessings—forgiveness, adoption, future hope (Ephesians 1:3-14).

5. Serve from overflow

– Let gladness fuel acts of love (Galatians 5:13), turning duty into delight.

6. Fight for joy in trials

– Recall that present afflictions are “producing for us an eternal glory” (2 Corinthians 4:17; James 1:2-3).

7. Rest nightly in grace

– Close the day remembering that nothing can separate you from His love (Romans 8:38-39).

Magnifying God with Our Words

• Replace grumbling with “Let God be magnified!”

• Declare His greatness in worship gatherings (Hebrews 10:25).

• Post, write, text gospel truths—letting your speech drip with praise (Colossians 4:6).

Joy That Endures

• Joy is rooted in an unchanging God (Malachi 3:6).

• The Spirit bears fruit of joy (Galatians 5:22), keeping gladness alive as we walk by faith (2 Corinthians 5:7).

• One day rejoicing will be unbroken: “In Your presence is fullness of joy” (Psalm 16:11).

Persist in seeking Him, loving His salvation, and celebrating His greatness. Every day becomes an invitation to “rejoice and be glad” in the Lord who saves.
