How to find Christ daily?
How can we seek Christ's presence in our daily spiritual walk?

Drawing Near to the Beloved

“ My beloved has gone down to his garden, to the beds of spices, to pasture his flock in the gardens and to gather lilies.” — Songs 6:2

In this picture, the Bridegroom moves intentionally into a fragrant garden where His flock feeds and lilies are gathered. The verse invites us to follow Him there—into the place of intimacy, nourishment, and beauty. How do we seek Christ’s presence like that in everyday life?

Following Him into the Garden of Daily Routine

• Begin the day by acknowledging His nearness.

Psalm 5:3—“In the morning, LORD, You hear my voice.”

• A whispered “Good morning, Lord” sets your heart to walk where He is already moving.

• Carry Scripture as your guiding fragrance.

Colossians 3:16—“Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you.”

• Keep a verse card in your pocket or phone; every glance is a step deeper into the garden beds of spices.

• Cultivate moments of silent attention.

Isaiah 30:15—“In quietness and trust shall be your strength.”

• Short pauses between tasks let you sense His shepherding presence amid noise.

Feeding in His Pasture

• Actively listen for His voice.

John 10:27—“My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me.”

• Ask, “Lord, how do You want me to respond right now?” before decisions, trusting that He leads as surely as a shepherd guides sheep.

• Obey promptly in small matters.

Luke 16:10—faithfulness in little things trains the ear to hear more clearly.

• Every act of obedience is fresh pasture grass that nourishes the soul.

Gathering Lilies of Delight

• Notice His handiwork in ordinary beauty.

Matthew 6:28–29—Jesus points to lilies as evidence of the Father’s care.

• Thank Him aloud for a sunrise, a child’s laugh, or a kind word; gratitude gathers fragrant lilies into your basket.

• Share that beauty with others.

Hebrews 10:24—“Let us consider how to spur one another on toward love and good deeds.”

• A text of encouragement or a small gift becomes a lily handed from His garden to someone else.

Protecting the Fragrance

• Guard against the “little foxes” that spoil vines (Songs 2:15).

• Identify small compromises—unforgiveness, careless words, wasted minutes.

• Repent quickly; confession restores the sweet aroma of fellowship.

• Rest under His acceptance rather than striving.

Matthew 11:28—“Come to Me… and I will give you rest.”

• Trust that His delight in you is secured by the cross, not by performance.

Living Continually Present with Him

• Abide, don’t commute.

John 15:4—“Remain in Me, and I will remain in you.”

• Instead of visiting Christ at set times, treat every place—kitchen, office, car—as part of His garden.

• End the day with reflection.

Psalm 16:7—“Even at night my heart instructs me.”

• Review where you sensed His presence, thank Him, and lay tomorrow in His hands.

Walk intentionally where the Beloved already waits. The garden is open, the spices fragrant, the lilies blooming—and every step taken with awareness of Him becomes holy ground.
