How to find God's love daily?
How can we seek God's "unfailing love" daily in our lives?

Psalm 90:14—A Morning Plea

“Fill us in the morning with Your loving devotion, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.” (Psalm 90:14)

Understanding “loving devotion”

• Hebrew chesed: steadfast, covenant-keeping, unfailing love (Psalm 63:3).

• Never runs dry, never diminishes, never fails (Lamentations 3:22-23).

Why Seek It Daily?

• Only God’s love truly satisfies a finite, fragile life (Psalm 90:14; Psalm 90:12).

• Daily supply keeps joy and gladness fresh, not sporadic.

• The morning sets the tone for every other decision and attitude (Psalm 92:2; Psalm 5:3).

Daily Practices for Seeking His Unfailing Love

1. Meet Him in the Word

– Open Scripture before anything else. Let His voice be the first voice you hear (Psalm 5:3).

– Read slowly, aloud if possible, until your heart rests in a promise.

2. Meditate & Memorize

– Turn verses about His love over in your mind through the day (Psalm 1:2).

– Key passages: John 15:9, Romans 8:38-39, 1 John 4:16.

3. Respond with Worship & Gratitude

– “Because Your loving devotion is better than life, my lips will glorify You.” (Psalm 63:3)

– Sing, journal, or speak thanks; joy follows gratitude.

4. Pray Continually

– Keep conversation open: praise, requests, confession, surrender (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

– Ask specifically, “Fill me with Your loving devotion” whenever weariness surfaces.

5. Walk in Obedience

– “If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love.” (John 15:10)

– Quick obedience clears the channel for fresh assurance of His favor.

6. Love Others Tangibly

– “Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” (1 John 4:11)

– Service, forgiveness, and generosity turn received love into shared love.

7. Live by the Spirit

– “God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 5:5)

– Yield moment by moment; the Spirit makes His love experiential, not merely theoretical.

8. Record His Faithfulness

– Keep a journal of answered prayers and providences (Deuteronomy 6:12).

– Reviewing entries anchors tomorrow’s trust.

9. Pursue Fellowship

– Encourage and be encouraged by believers who remind you of gospel realities (Hebrews 10:24-25).

– God often sends His love through His people.

10. End the Day Resting in Him

– “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.” (Psalm 4:8)

– Release worries, thank Him for the day’s evidences of love, and trust Him for the night.

Promises That Anchor Our Pursuit

• “As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Remain in My love.” (John 15:9)

• “Because of the LORD’s loving devotion we are not consumed… They are new every morning.” (Lamentations 3:22-23)

• “Nothing… will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:39)

• “Keep yourselves in the love of God as you await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Jude 21)

Closing Reflection

Begin each sunrise asking to be filled, spend the day walking in what He supplies, and surrender each sunset remembering He never withholds His unfailing love.
