How to honor His name daily?
How can we "glory in His holy name" in our daily lives?

An Inviting Call to Exultation

“Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.” (Psalm 105:3)

The Spirit’s invitation is simple: revel in who God is, and let delight overflow into life.

What It Means to “Glory”

• The Hebrew idea behind “glory” (hālal) carries tones of shining, boasting, celebrating.

• It is openly bragging on God’s character—His holiness, love, justice, power—so that His worth eclipses everything else (Jeremiah 9:23-24).

Psalm 34:3: “Magnify the LORD with me; let us exalt His name together.” The psalmist models contagious, vocal admiration.

Nurturing a Heart That Delights in God

• Stay astonished at grace: revisit the cross daily (Galatians 6:14).

• Fill mind and mouth with Scripture; His Word stokes affection (Psalm 119:11).

• Track His providence—keep a running list of answered prayers and mercies (Psalm 103:2).

• Choose rejoicing: gratitude is an act of obedience, not a mood (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).

Practical Ways to Glory in His Holy Name Each Day

• Start mornings aloud: “Lord, You are holy, faithful, and enough for this day.”

• Integrate worship music during commutes or chores—singing engraves truth on the heart (Psalm 92:1-2).

• Speak of His deeds in normal conversation; let testimony be natural, not forced (Psalm 107:2).

• Purposefully replace complaints with declarations of His goodness.

• Guard the honor of His name online: post words that reflect His character (Ephesians 4:29).

• Prioritize integrity at work or school; excellence and honesty spotlight His holiness (Colossians 3:23-24).

• Celebrate His image in people: encourage, serve, uplift. Each act points back to the Creator (Matthew 5:16).

• Close the day recounting ways He proved faithful; go to sleep glorying, not worrying (Psalm 63:6-7).

Keeping the Wonder Fresh

• Fast from distractions that dull affection—endless news, social media scrolls, trivial entertainment.

• Meditate on His attributes one by one: holiness, omnipotence, mercy, wisdom. Awe grows as focus sharpens (Isaiah 40:25-26).

• Gather with believers who radiate joy in the Lord; public praise fuels private devotion (Hebrews 10:24-25).

Glory in Every Sphere

Home: lead family devotions, model forgiveness, season meals with thanksgiving.

Work: treat colleagues as image-bearers, steward time and resources faithfully.

Community: volunteer, practice hospitality, speak truth seasoned with grace.

World: pray for and support gospel missions; His name deserves honor among every people (Psalm 96:3).

Strengthened by His Promise

Wherever hearts seek Him, joy follows. “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31)

Glory in His holy name—today, tomorrow, and for all eternity.
