How to see God's glory daily?
How can we seek to see God's glory in our daily lives?

Moses’ Bold Request

“Then Moses said, ‘Please show me Your glory.’” (Exodus 33:18)

The God Who Delights to Reveal Himself

- The LORD answers, “I will cause all My goodness to pass before you” (Exodus 33:19). God’s glory is inseparable from His goodness, compassion, and name.

- “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory” (John 1:14). In Jesus, the invisible God lets us see His radiance.

- “God…has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of God’s glory in the face of Jesus Christ” (2 Corinthians 4:6). The same God who lit the universe now lights believing hearts.

The Pattern for Our Lives

- Moses withdrew to the tent of meeting (Exodus 33:7–11). We, too, set aside focused time with God.

- Moses spoke “face to face, as a man speaks with his friend” (v. 11). Intimacy—not distance—is the Lord’s design for every believer (Hebrews 10:19–22).

- Moses refused to move without God’s presence (Exodus 33:15). Daily decisions become opportunities to depend on Him first.

Practical Pathways to See His Glory Today

• Scripture: Open the Bible expecting a living encounter (Psalm 119:18; 2 Corinthians 3:18).

• Creation: “The heavens declare the glory of God” (Psalm 19:1). Notice the sky, seasons, and intricate details around you.

• Obedience: “Whoever loves Me will keep My word…and I will manifest Myself to him” (John 14:21). Every act of surrendered obedience becomes a window to His glory.

• Worship: Whether singing aloud or silently adoring, He “inhabits the praises” of His people (Psalm 22:3).

• Trials: “The Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you” when you suffer for Christ (1 Peter 4:14). Hard seasons often sparkle brightest with His nearness.

• Fellowship: God’s glory fills the gathered church (Ephesians 3:20–21). Look for Him in the testimonies, gifts, and love of brothers and sisters.

• Service: “Let your light shine before men…they may see your good works and glorify your Father” (Matthew 5:16). Serving others puts His character on display.

Guardrails to Keep Our Vision Clear

- Holiness: “Pursue…holiness, without which no one will see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14).

- Humility: God reveals Himself to the contrite (Isaiah 57:15; James 4:6).

- Spirit-Filled Living: “Walk by the Spirit” (Galatians 5:16) so nothing quenches His illumination.

- Mind Renewal: Saturate thoughts with truth (Romans 12:1–2). A cluttered, worldly mind blurs the view.

- Gratitude: Giving thanks tunes the heart to recognize glory in ordinary moments (Psalm 50:23).

Promises That Sustain the Pursuit

- “You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13).

- “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8).

- Jesus “is the radiance of God’s glory” (Hebrews 1:3). Our quest ends in Him, not an experience.

- One day “the city has no need of sun…for the glory of God illuminates it” (Revelation 21:23). Today’s glimpses anticipate that eternal blaze.

A Daily Commitment

Start each morning echoing Moses’ simple plea: “Show me Your glory.” Stay alert through Scripture, creation, worship, obedience, and service. Guard your heart, cling to His promises, and you’ll discover that the God who met Moses still loves to let His goodness pass before those who earnestly seek Him.
