How to see God's salvation today?
How can we "see the salvation of the LORD" in our lives today?

The Setting: A Wall of Water and a Wall of Fear

Exodus 14:13 – “But Moses told the people, ‘Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the LORD’s salvation, which He will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians you see today, you will never see again.’ ”

• Israel is trapped between Pharaoh’s army and the Red Sea.

• God is about to act so decisively that His people can only watch.

• The command is simple: “Do not be afraid. Stand firm. See.”

What “salvation” Meant Then—and Still Means Now

• Deliverance from deadly danger (Exodus 14:30).

• Vindication of God’s promises (Exodus 6:6–8).

• A visible revelation of His glory so nations will know He is LORD (Exodus 14:18).

Salvation We See Today in Christ

• Eternal rescue: “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to everyone” (Titus 2:11).

• Finished work: “It is finished!” (John 19:30). Nothing more must be added.

• Unchanging security: “You who are shielded by God’s power through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time” (1 Peter 1:5).

Daily Moments Where His Salvation Shows Up

• Freedom from sin’s grip

– “For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace” (Romans 6:14).

• Peace that overrides panic

– “I sought the LORD, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears” (Psalm 34:4).

• Providential guidance

– “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:6).

• Strength in weakness

– “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9).

• Hope for the future

– “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 1:6).

How to Position Ourselves to “See”

• Refuse fear

– Fear magnifies threats; faith magnifies God.

• Stand firm in the truth of Scripture

Ephesians 6:13: “Having done everything, to stand.”

• Watch expectantly

Psalm 27:13: “I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.”

• Obey the next step

– Israel stepped forward when God opened the sea; obedience often unlocks the miracle.

• Celebrate every deliverance

Exodus 15:1–2 records the song that followed the salvation. Worship seals the memory of what God has done.

A Closing Picture

Just as the Red Sea closed over Egypt’s chariots, Jesus’ cross and resurrection have closed the case against us. We stand on the shore of freedom, invited each day to “see the salvation of the LORD” in every sin He breaks, every fear He silences, every prayer He answers, and every promise He keeps.
