Use Jesus' power in struggles?
How can we apply Jesus' power in John 11:43 to our daily struggles?

The Miracle and Its Message

John 11:43: “After Jesus had said this, He called out in a loud voice, ‘Lazarus, come out!’”

• A real man, four days dead, walked out of a tomb when Jesus spoke.

• The same divine authority that broke death’s grip remains unchanged (Hebrews 13:8).

• Resurrection power is not abstract; it is a living, personal force available to every believer (Romans 8:11).

Recognizing the Same Voice Today

• Jesus still speaks through Scripture—His voice is living and active (Hebrews 4:12).

• The sheep know the Shepherd’s voice (John 10:27).

• Regular, unhurried time in the Word tunes the heart to respond when He calls us out of fear, anger, addiction, or despair.

Inviting His Resurrection Power into Our Struggles

1. Believe His promise

– “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?” (John 11:40).

– Faith is the conduit; unbelief blocks the flow (Mark 6:5-6).

2. Speak life-filled words

– Align conversation with truth instead of the problem (Proverbs 18:21).

– Confess Scripture over the situation: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).

3. Obey promptly

– Lazarus moved when he heard the command. Delayed obedience keeps graveclothes on.

– Simple steps—apologizing, forgiving, serving—become doors for miracle power.

4. Rely on the Spirit

– The same Spirit who raised Jesus empowers mortal bodies (Romans 8:11).

– Continuous dependence (Ephesians 5:18) transforms weakness into strength.

5. Stay in community

– Jesus told others, “Unbind him and let him go” (John 11:44).

– Brothers and sisters help strip off lingering habits and doubts (Galatians 6:1-2).

Living Out the Command “Come Out!” Daily

• From anxiety to peace—cast cares on Him each morning (1 Peter 5:7).

• From condemnation to freedom—remember there is now no condemnation in Christ (Romans 8:1).

• From hopelessness to expectation—His mercies are new every sunrise (Lamentations 3:22-23).

• From passivity to mission—“Go therefore and make disciples” (Matthew 28:19), stepping into the good works prepared beforehand (Ephesians 2:10).

Strengthened by Resurrection Promises

Ephesians 1:19-20: “His incomparably great power for us who believe… He exerted when He raised Christ from the dead.”

2 Corinthians 1:10: The God who delivered will deliver again.

Colossians 2:15: He has already disarmed every dark power opposing us.

Daily Walk of Resurrection Power

• Start each day acknowledging His lordship and literal victory over death.

• Saturate the mind with Scriptures that declare what He has done and who you are in Him.

• Step forward in obedience, trusting that the same command that raised Lazarus is calling you out of every tomb-like circumstance today.
