Ammiel the sixth,

Issachar the seventh,

and Peullethai the eighth.

Peullethai’s name points to the work of God, meaning “work of Jehovah” or “God’s work.” His place among the gatekeepers shows that the ordinary duties of guarding the sanctuary were part of God’s holy work, entrusted to men set apart for His service.

For God had blessed Obed-edom.
