The Lamb Takes the Scroll

1And I saw, in the right hand of Him Who was sitting on the throne, a book written within and on the back, sealed up with seven seals. 2And I saw a strong angel, proclaiming with a great voice, "Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose its seals!" 3And no one in Heaven, or on the earth, or under the earth, was able to open the book or to look upon it. 4And I was weeping much, because no one was found worthy to open the book, or to look upon it;

5and one of the elders says to me, "Weep not; behold, the Lion Who is of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, prevailed to open the book, and its seven seals.

6And I saw, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb standing, as if slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth. 7And He came, and hath taken it out of the right hand of Him Who sitteth upon the throne. 8And, when He took the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, having, each, a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. 9And they sing a new song, saying, "Worthy art Thou to take the book, and to open its seals; because Thou wast slain, and didst redeem to God, by Thy blood, some of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10and didst make them, to our God, a Kingdom and priests, and they reign on the earth."

The Lamb Exalted

11And I saw, and heard the voice of many angels round about the throne, and of the living creatures, and of the elders, (and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands); 12saying with a great voice, "Worthy is the Lamb Who hath been slain, to receive the power, and riches, and wisdom, and might, and honor, and glory, and blessing!" 13And every created thing which is in Heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying, "To Him Who sitteth upon the throne, and to the Lamb, be the blessing, and the honor, and the glory, and the might, forever and ever!" 14And the four living creatures said, "Amen." And the elders fell down and worshiped.
