Bildad: Man Cannot Be Righteous

1And Bildad the Shuhite answered and said:

2“Dominion and dread are with Him,

the One making peace in His high places.

3Is there a number to His troops?

And upon whom does His light not arise?

4So how can a man be righteous with God?

Or what can be pure that is born of a woman?

5Behold, even the moon does not shine,

and the stars are not pure in His eyes.

6How much less a man—a maggot,

and a son of man—a worm!”
