For we remember before our God and Father how you put your faith into practice, how your love made you work so hard, and how your hope in our Lord Jesus Christ is firm.

1 Thessalonians 3:6 But now when Timothy came to us from you and related to us your faith and charity, and that you have a good remembrance of us always, desiring to see us as we also to see you:

Jesus answered and said to them: This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he hath sent.
But if we hope for that which we see not, we wait for it with patience.
For what things soever were written were written for our learning: that, through patience and the comfort of the scriptures, we might have hope.

And now there remain faith, hope, and charity, these three: but the greatest of these is charity.
