Good News Translation
They answered, "You were born and brought up in sin--and you are trying to teach us?" And they expelled him from the synagogue.

They answered him, “You were born entirely in sins, and are you trying to teach us?” And they drove him out.

The leaders told the man, "You have been a sinner since the day you were born! Do you think you can teach us anything?" Then they said, "You can never come back into any of our synagogues!"
