You sent abundant rain, O God; You refreshed Your weary inheritance. | 9Rain in abundance, O God, you shed abroad; you restored your inheritance as it languished; |
Your flock settled therein; O God, from Your bounty You provided for the poor. | 10your flock found a dwelling in it; in your goodness, O God, you provided for the needy. |
The Lord gives the command; a great company of women proclaim it: | 11The Lord gives the word; the women who announce the news are a great host: |
“Kings and their armies flee in haste; she who waits at home divides the plunder. | 12“The kings of the armies—they flee, they flee!” The women at home divide the spoil— |

A mountain of God is Mount Bashan; a mountain of many peaks is Mount Bashan. | 15O mountain of God, mountain of Bashan; O many-peaked mountain, mountain of Bashan! |
Why do you gaze in envy, O mountains of many peaks? This is the mountain God chose for His dwelling, where the LORD will surely dwell forever. | 16Why do you look with hatred, O many-peaked mountain, at the mount that God desired for his abode, yes, where the LORD will dwell forever? |
The chariots of God are tens of thousands—thousands of thousands are they; the Lord is in His sanctuary as He was at Sinai. | 17The chariots of God are twice ten thousand, thousands upon thousands; the Lord is among them; Sinai is now in the sanctuary. |
You have ascended on high; You have led captives away. You have received gifts from men, even from the rebellious, that the LORD God may dwell there. | 18You ascended on high, leading a host of captives in your train and receiving gifts among men, even among the rebellious, that the LORD God may dwell there. |
Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, the God of our salvation. Selah | 19Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears us up; God is our salvation. Selah |
Our God is a God of deliverance; the Lord GOD is our rescuer from death. | 20Our God is a God of salvation, and to GOD, the Lord, belong deliverances from death. |
