LORD, I seek refuge in you; let me never be disgraced.1In You, O LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame.
In your justice, rescue and deliver me; listen closely to me and save me.2In Your justice, rescue and deliver me; incline Your ear and save me.
Be a rock of refuge for me, where I can always go. Give the command to save me, for you are my rock and fortress.3Be my rock of refuge, where I can always go. Give the command to save me, for You are my rock and my fortress.
Deliver me, my God, from the power of the wicked, from the grasp of the unjust and oppressive.4Deliver me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of the unjust and ruthless.
For you are my hope, Lord GOD, my confidence from my youth.5For You are my hope, O Lord GOD, my confidence from my youth.
I have leaned on you from birth; you took me from my mother's womb. My praise is always about you.6I have leaned on You since birth; You pulled me from my mother’s womb. My praise is always for You.
I am like a miraculous sign to many, and you are my strong refuge.7I have become a portent to many, but You are my strong refuge.
My mouth is full of praise and honor to you all day long.8My mouth is filled with Your praise and with Your splendor all day long.
Don't discard me in my old age. As my strength fails, do not abandon me.9Do not discard me in my old age; do not forsake me when my strength fails.
For my enemies talk about me, and those who spy on me plot together,10For my enemies speak against me, and those who lie in wait for my life conspire,
saying, "God has abandoned him; chase him and catch him, for there is no one to rescue him."11saying, “God has forsaken him; pursue him and seize him, for there is no one to rescue him.”
God, do not be far from me; my God, hurry to help me.12Be not far from me, O God. Hurry, O my God, to help me.
May my adversaries be disgraced and destroyed; may those who intend to harm me be covered with disgrace and humiliation.13May the accusers of my soul be ashamed and consumed; may those who seek my harm be covered with scorn and disgrace.
But I will hope continually and will praise you more and more.14But I will always hope and will praise You more and more.
My mouth will tell about your righteousness and your salvation all day long, though I cannot sum them up.15My mouth will declare Your righteousness and Your salvation all day long, though I cannot know their full measure.
I come because of the mighty acts of the Lord GOD; I will proclaim your righteousness, yours alone.16I will enter in the strength of the Lord GOD; I will proclaim Your righteousness—Yours alone.
God, you have taught me from my youth, and I still proclaim your wondrous works.17O God, You have taught me from my youth, and to this day I proclaim Your marvelous deeds.
Even while I am old and gray, God, do not abandon me, while I proclaim your power to another generation, your strength to all who are to come.18Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, until I proclaim Your power to the next generation, Your might to all who are to come.
Your righteousness reaches the heights, God, you who have done great things; God, who is like you?19Your righteousness reaches to the heavens, O God, You who have done great things. Who, O God, is like You?
You caused me to experience many troubles and misfortunes, but you will revive me again. You will bring me up again, even from the depths of the earth.20Though You have shown me many troubles and misfortunes, You will revive me once again. Even from the depths of the earth You will bring me back up.
You will increase my honor and comfort me once again.21You will increase my honor and comfort me once again.
Therefore, I will praise you with a harp for your faithfulness, my God; I will sing to you with a lyre, Holy One of Israel.22So I will praise You with the harp for Your faithfulness, O my God; I will sing praise to You with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel.
My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you because you have redeemed me.23When I sing praise to You my lips will shout for joy, along with my soul, which You have redeemed.
Therefore, my tongue will proclaim your righteousness all day long, for those who intend to harm me will be disgraced and confounded.24My tongue will indeed proclaim Your righteousness all day long, for those who seek my harm are disgraced and confounded.
