1Masters, deal with your slaves justly and fairly, since you know that you too have a Master in heaven.1Masters, treat your bondservants justly and fairly, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven.
2Devote yourselves to prayer; stay alert in it with thanksgiving.2Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.
3At the same time, pray also for us that God may open a door to us for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains,3At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison—
4so that I may make it known as I should.4that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak.

12Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, sends you greetings. 14Luke, the dearly loved physician, and Demas send you greetings.14Luke the beloved physician greets you, as does Demas.
