“Bezalel and Oholiab and every craftsman in whom the LORD has put skill and intelligence to know how to do any work in the construction of the sanctuary shall work in accordance with all that the LORD has commanded.”1Bezalel and Oholiab and all the skilled craftsmen to whom the LORD gave wisdom and understanding to know how to do all the work in constructing the sanctuary are to do everything that the LORD has commanded."
And Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab and every craftsman in whose mind the LORD had put skill, everyone whose heart stirred him up to come to do the work.2Then Moses summoned Bezalel, Oholiab, and all the skilled people to whom the LORD had given ability, including everyone whose hearts stirred them to come forward to do the work.
And they received from Moses all the contribution that the people of Israel had brought for doing the work on the sanctuary. They still kept bringing him freewill offerings every morning,3They received from Moses all the offerings that the Israelis had brought for doing the work of constructing the sanctuary, and the people continued to bring freewill offerings every morning.
so that all the craftsmen who were doing every sort of task on the sanctuary came, each from the task that he was doing,4All the craftsmen who were doing all the work on the sanctuary left the work they were doing
and said to Moses, “The people bring much more than enough for doing the work that the LORD has commanded us to do.”5and told Moses, "The people are bringing much more than enough for the work that the LORD has commanded us to do."
So Moses gave command, and word was proclaimed throughout the camp, “Let no man or woman do anything more for the contribution for the sanctuary.” So the people were restrained from bringing,6Then Moses issued an order, and the message was taken throughout the camp, "Men and women, don't bring any more offerings for the sanctuary." The people were restrained from bringing any more,
for the material they had was sufficient to do all the work, and more.7since the material was more than sufficient for doing all the work.
And all the craftsmen among the workmen made the tabernacle with ten curtains. They were made of fine twined linen and blue and purple and scarlet yarns, with cherubim skillfully worked.8All the skilled craftsmen among the workers made the tent with ten curtains of fine woven linen, blue, purple, and scarlet material. He made them with cherubim skillfully worked into them.
The length of each curtain was twenty-eight cubits, and the breadth of each curtain four cubits. All the curtains were the same size.9The length of each curtain was 28 cubits, and the width of each curtain two cubits. All the curtains had the same measurements.
He coupled five curtains to one another, and the other five curtains he coupled to one another.10He joined five of the curtains together, and the other five curtains he joined together.
He made loops of blue on the edge of the outermost curtain of the first set. Likewise he made them on the edge of the outermost curtain of the second set.11He made loops of blue material along the edge of the outermost curtain in the first set, and likewise, he made loops along the edge of the outermost curtain in the second set.
He made fifty loops on the one curtain, and he made fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that was in the second set. The loops were opposite one another.12He made 50 loops in the one curtain, and he made 50 loops along the edge of the curtain that is in the second set, with the loops opposite each other.
And he made fifty clasps of gold, and coupled the curtains one to the other with clasps. So the tabernacle was a single whole.13Then he made 50 gold clasps, and joined the curtains to each other with the clasps so the tent was one piece.
He also made curtains of goats’ hair for a tent over the tabernacle. He made eleven curtains.14He made curtains of goat hair for a tent over the tent; he made 11 curtains.
The length of each curtain was thirty cubits, and the breadth of each curtain four cubits. The eleven curtains were the same size.15The length of each curtain was 30 cubits, and the width of each curtain was two cubits; the measurements of each of the eleven curtains was the same.
He coupled five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves.16He joined five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves.
And he made fifty loops on the edge of the outermost curtain of the one set, and fifty loops on the edge of the other connecting curtain.17He made 50 loops along the edge of the outermost curtain in the first set, and 50 loops along the edge of the curtain of the other set.
And he made fifty clasps of bronze to couple the tent together that it might be a single whole.18He made 50 bronze clasps to join the tent together so it would be one piece.
And he made for the tent a covering of tanned rams’ skins and goatskins.19Then he made a cover for the tent of ram skins dyed red and a covering of dolphin skins above that.
Then he made the upright frames for the tabernacle of acacia wood.20Then he made upright boards of acacia wood for the tent.
Ten cubits was the length of a frame, and a cubit and a half the breadth of each frame.21Each board was ten cubits long, and one and a half cubits wide.
Each frame had two tenons for fitting together. He did this for all the frames of the tabernacle.22Each board had two pegs, joined to one another, and he did this for all the boards of the tent.
The frames for the tabernacle he made thus: twenty frames for the south side.23He made the boards for the tent: 20 boards for the south side.
And he made forty bases of silver under the twenty frames, two bases under one frame for its two tenons, and two bases under the next frame for its two tenons.24He made 40 silver sockets under the 20 boards: two sockets under one board for its two pegs and two sockets under the next board for its two pegs.
For the second side of the tabernacle, on the north side, he made twenty frames25For the second side of the tent to the north he made 20 boards,
and their forty bases of silver, two bases under one frame and two bases under the next frame.26and 40 silver sockets for them, two sockets under one board and two sockets under the next board.
For the rear of the tabernacle westward he made six frames.27For the rear of the tent on the west he made six boards,
He made two frames for corners of the tabernacle in the rear.28and he made two boards for the rear corners of the tent.
And they were separate beneath but joined at the top, at the first ring. He made two of them this way for the two corners.29They were joined together at the bottom and they were connected on top, by one ring. He did this for the two of them, and they were the two corners.
There were eight frames with their bases of silver: sixteen bases, under every frame two bases.30There were eight boards with their sixteen silver sockets, two sockets under each board.
He made bars of acacia wood, five for the frames of the one side of the tabernacle,31Then he made bars of acacia wood, five for the boards on one side of the tent,
and five bars for the frames of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the frames of the tabernacle at the rear westward.32five bars for the boards on the second side of the tent, and five bars for the boards on the back side of the tent to the west.
And he made the middle bar to run from end to end halfway up the frames.33He made the middle bar in the center of the boards pass through from end to end.
And he overlaid the frames with gold, and made their rings of gold for holders for the bars, and overlaid the bars with gold.34He overlaid the boards with gold, and made gold rings for them as holders for the bars, and he overlaid the bars with gold.
He made the veil of blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen; with cherubim skillfully worked into it he made it.35He made a curtain of blue, purple, and scarlet material, and fine woven linen. He made it with cherubim skillfully worked into it.
And for it he made four pillars of acacia and overlaid them with gold. Their hooks were of gold, and he cast for them four bases of silver.36He made four pillars of acacia for it and overlaid them with gold, along with their gold hooks, and he cast four silver sockets for them.
He also made a screen for the entrance of the tent, of blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, embroidered with needlework,37For the doorway of the tent, he made a screen of blue, purple, and scarlet material and fine woven linen, the work of an embroiderer,
and its five pillars with their hooks. He overlaid their capitals, and their fillets were of gold, but their five bases were of bronze.38and five pillars of acacia along with their hooks. He overlaid their tops and their bands with gold. Their five sockets were made of bronze.
