| 17the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites, | 17And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite, |
| 18the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Afterward the clans of the Canaanites dispersed. | 18And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad. |
| 19And the territory of the Canaanites extended from Sidon in the direction of Gerar as far as Gaza, and in the direction of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha. | 19And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even unto Lasha. |

| 30The territory in which they lived extended from Mesha in the direction of Sephar to the hill country of the east. | 30And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest unto Sephar a mount of the east. |
| 31These are the sons of Shem, by their clans, their languages, their lands, and their nations. | 31These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations. |
| 32These are the clans of the sons of Noah, according to their genealogies, in their nations, and from these the nations spread abroad on the earth after the flood. | 32These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood. |
