| 3how will we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was first spoken by the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him. | 3how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. |
| 4At the same time, God also testified by signs and wonders, various miracles, and distributions of gifts from the Holy Spirit according to His will. | 4God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will. |

| 10For in bringing many sons to glory, it was entirely appropriate that God--all things exist for Him and through Him--should make the source of their salvation perfect through sufferings. | 10In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered. |
| 11For the One who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers, | 11Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. |
| 12saying: I will proclaim Your name to My brothers; I will sing hymns to You in the congregation. | 12He says, "I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters; in the assembly I will sing your praises." |
