KJV Parallel CSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleChristian Standard Bible
A Song and Psalm for the sons of Korah. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.1The LORD is great and highly praised in the city of our God. His holy mountain,
Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.2rising splendidly, is the joy of the whole earth. Mount Zion--the summit of Zaphon-- is the city of the great King.
God is known in her palaces for a refuge.3God is known as a stronghold in its citadels.
For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.4Look! The kings assembled; they advanced together.
They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were troubled, and hasted away.5They looked and froze with fear; they fled in terror.
Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail.6Trembling seized them there, agony like that of a woman in labor,
Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.7as you wrecked the ships of Tarshish with the east wind.
As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. Selah.8Just as we heard, so we have seen in the city of the LORD of Armies, in the city of our God; God will establish it forever. Selah
We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.9God, within your temple, we contemplate your faithful love.
According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.10Like your name, God, so your praise reaches to the ends of the earth; your right hand is filled with justice.
Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.11Mount Zion is glad. Judah's villages rejoice because of your judgments.
Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.12Go around Zion, encircle it; count its towers,
Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.13note its ramparts; tour its citadels so that you can tell a future generation:
For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.14"This God, our God forever and ever--he will always lead us."
