A Song of Ascents. How blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, Who walks in His ways. | 1A song of ascents. How happy is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in His ways! |
When you shall eat of the fruit of your hands, You will be happy and it will be well with you. | 2You will surely eat what your hands have worked for. You will be happy, and it will go well for you. |
Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine Within your house, Your children like olive plants Around your table. | 3Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house, your sons, like young olive trees around your table. |
Behold, for thus shall the man be blessed Who fears the LORD. | 4In this very way the man who fears the LORD will be blessed. |
The LORD bless you from Zion, And may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life. | 5May the LORD bless you from Zion, so that you will see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life |
Indeed, may you see your children's children. Peace be upon Israel! | 6and will see your children's children! Peace be with Israel. |
