A Song of Ascents. How blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, Who walks in His ways. | 1A Song of degrees. Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways. |
When you shall eat of the fruit of your hands, You will be happy and it will be well with you. | 2For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee. |
Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine Within your house, Your children like olive plants Around your table. | 3Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table. |
Behold, for thus shall the man be blessed Who fears the LORD. | 4Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD. |
The LORD bless you from Zion, And may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life. | 5The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life. |
Indeed, may you see your children's children. Peace be upon Israel! | 6Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children, and peace upon Israel. |
