| NET Bible | English Standard Version |
 | 1For the music director; written by the LORD's servant, David; an oracle. An evil man is rebellious to the core. He does not fear God, | 1Transgression speaks to the wicked deep in his heart; there is no fear of God before his eyes. |
| 2for he is too proud to recognize and give up his sin. | 2For he flatters himself in his own eyes that his iniquity cannot be found out and hated. |
| 3The words he speaks are sinful and deceitful; he does not care about doing what is wise and right. | 3The words of his mouth are trouble and deceit; he has ceased to act wisely and do good. |
| 4He plans ways to sin while he lies in bed; he is committed to a sinful lifestyle; he does not reject what is evil. | 4He plots trouble while on his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he does not reject evil. |
| 5O LORD, your loyal love reaches to the sky; your faithfulness to the clouds. | 5Your steadfast love, O LORD, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds. |
| 6Your justice is like the highest mountains, your fairness like the deepest sea; you preserve mankind and the animal kingdom. | 6Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O LORD. |
| 7How precious is your loyal love, O God! The human race finds shelter under your wings. | 7How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings. |
| 8They are filled with food from your house, and you allow them to drink from the river of your delicacies. | 8They feast on the abundance of your house, and you give them drink from the river of your delights. |
| 9For you are the one who gives and sustains life. | 9For with you is the fountain of life; in your light do we see light. |
| 10Extend your loyal love to your faithful followers, and vindicate the morally upright! | 10Oh, continue your steadfast love to those who know you, and your righteousness to the upright of heart! |
| 11Do not let arrogant men overtake me, or let evil men make me homeless! | 11Let not the foot of arrogance come upon me, nor the hand of the wicked drive me away. |
| 12I can see the evildoers! They have fallen! They have been knocked down and are unable to get up! | 12There the evildoers lie fallen; they are thrust down, unable to rise. |
