| NET Bible | New Living Translation |
 | 1For the music director; written by the LORD's servant, David; an oracle. An evil man is rebellious to the core. He does not fear God, | 1Sin whispers to the wicked, deep within their hearts. They have no fear of God at all. |
| 2for he is too proud to recognize and give up his sin. | 2In their blind conceit, they cannot see how wicked they really are. |
| 3The words he speaks are sinful and deceitful; he does not care about doing what is wise and right. | 3Everything they say is crooked and deceitful. They refuse to act wisely or do good. |
| 4He plans ways to sin while he lies in bed; he is committed to a sinful lifestyle; he does not reject what is evil. | 4They lie awake at night, hatching sinful plots. Their actions are never good. They make no attempt to turn from evil. |
| 5O LORD, your loyal love reaches to the sky; your faithfulness to the clouds. | 5Your unfailing love, O LORD, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds. |
| 6Your justice is like the highest mountains, your fairness like the deepest sea; you preserve mankind and the animal kingdom. | 6Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the ocean depths. You care for people and animals alike, O LORD. |
| 7How precious is your loyal love, O God! The human race finds shelter under your wings. | 7How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings. |
| 8They are filled with food from your house, and you allow them to drink from the river of your delicacies. | 8You feed them from the abundance of your own house, letting them drink from your river of delights. |
| 9For you are the one who gives and sustains life. | 9For you are the fountain of life, the light by which we see. |
| 10Extend your loyal love to your faithful followers, and vindicate the morally upright! | 10Pour out your unfailing love on those who love you; give justice to those with honest hearts. |
| 11Do not let arrogant men overtake me, or let evil men make me homeless! | 11Don’t let the proud trample me or the wicked push me around. |
| 12I can see the evildoers! They have fallen! They have been knocked down and are unable to get up! | 12Look! Those who do evil have fallen! They are thrown down, never to rise again. |
