| 1Adam made love to his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. She said, "With the help of the LORD I have brought forth a man." | 1Now the man had marital relations with his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. | 15But the LORD said to him, "Not so; anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times over."
