1[i]A Psalm[/i] of David when he pretended madness before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. | 1Of David, when he pretended to be insane before Abimelech, so that the king drove him away. I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise will always be on my lips. |
2My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. | 2My soul boasts in the LORD; let the oppressed hear and rejoice. |
3Oh, magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together. | 3Magnify the LORD with me; let us exalt His name together. |
4I sought the LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears. | 4I sought the LORD, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears. |
5They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed. | 5Those who look to Him are radiant with joy; their faces shall never be ashamed. |

15The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry. | 15The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are inclined to their cry. |
16The face of the LORD is against those who do evil, To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. | 16But the face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to wipe out all memory of them from the earth. |
