Psalm 142
NKJV Parallel CSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionChristian Standard Bible
1A Contemplation of David. A Prayer when he was in the cave. I cry out to the LORD with my voice; With my voice to the LORD I make my supplication.1I cry aloud to the LORD; I plead aloud to the LORD for mercy.
2I pour out my complaint before Him; I declare before Him my trouble.2I pour out my complaint before him; I reveal my trouble to him.
3When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, Then You knew my path. In the way in which I walk They have secretly set a snare for me.3Although my spirit is weak within me, you know my way. Along this path I travel they have hidden a trap for me.
4Look on my right hand and see, For there is no one who acknowledges me; Refuge has failed me; No one cares for my soul.4Look to the right and see: no one stands up for me; there is no refuge for me; no one cares about me.
5I cried out to You, O LORD: I said, “You are my refuge, My portion in the land of the living.5I cry to you, LORD; I say, "You are my shelter, my portion in the land of the living."
6Attend to my cry, For I am brought very low; Deliver me from my persecutors, For they are stronger than I.6Listen to my cry, for I am very weak. Rescue me from those who pursue me, for they are too strong for me.
7Bring my soul out of prison, That I may praise Your name; The righteous shall surround me, For You shall deal bountifully with me.”7Free me from prison so that I can praise your name. The righteous will gather around me because you deal generously with me.
