1The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him.

1A Davidic psalm. The earth and everything in it, the world and its inhabitants, belong to the LORD;

2For he laid the earth’s foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean depths.

2for He laid its foundation on the seas and established it on the rivers.

3Who may climb the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place?

3Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in His holy place?

4Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols and never tell lies.

4The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not set his mind on what is false, and who has not sworn deceitfully.

5They will receive the LORD’s blessing and have a right relationship with God their savior.

5He will receive blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6Such people may seek you and worship in your presence, O God of Jacob. Interlude

6Such is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob. Selah

7Open up, ancient gates! Open up, ancient doors, and let the King of glory enter.
