NLT Parallel KJV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationKing James Bible
When the Israelites escaped from Egypt— when the family of Jacob left that foreign land—1When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;
the land of Judah became God’s sanctuary, and Israel became his kingdom.2Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.
The Red Sea saw them coming and hurried out of their way! The water of the Jordan River turned away.3The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.
The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs!4The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.
What’s wrong, Red Sea, that made you hurry out of their way? What happened, Jordan River, that you turned away?5What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?
Why, mountains, did you skip like rams? Why, hills, like lambs?6Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?
Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob.7Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;
He turned the rock into a pool of water; yes, a spring of water flowed from solid rock.8Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
