Psalm 115
NLT Parallel KJV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationKing James Bible
Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to your name goes all the glory for your unfailing love and faithfulness.1Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.
Why let the nations say, “Where is their God?”2Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?
Our God is in the heavens, and he does as he wishes.3But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.
Their idols are merely things of silver and gold, shaped by human hands.4Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
They have mouths but cannot speak, and eyes but cannot see.5They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:
They have ears but cannot hear, and noses but cannot smell.6They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:
They have hands but cannot feel, and feet but cannot walk, and throats but cannot make a sound.7They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.
And those who make idols are just like them, as are all who trust in them.8They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.
O Israel, trust the LORD! He is your helper and your shield.9O Israel, trust thou in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.
O priests, descendants of Aaron, trust the LORD! He is your helper and your shield.10O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.
All you who fear the LORD, trust the LORD! He is your helper and your shield.11Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.
The LORD remembers us and will bless us. He will bless the people of Israel and bless the priests, the descendants of Aaron.12The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.
He will bless those who fear the LORD, both great and lowly.13He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great.
May the LORD richly bless both you and your children.14The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children.
May you be blessed by the LORD, who made heaven and earth.15Ye are blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth.
The heavens belong to the LORD, but he has given the earth to all humanity.16The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
The dead cannot sing praises to the LORD, for they have gone into the silence of the grave.17The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.
But we can praise the LORD both now and forever! Praise the LORD!18But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the LORD.
