| 1The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need. | 1A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. |
| 2He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. | 2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. |
| 3He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. | 3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. |
| 4Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. | 4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. |
