1	Then Joseph could no longer control himself before all his attendants, and he cried out, “Send everyone away from me!” So none of them were with Joseph when he made himself known to his brothers.	Then Joseph could not control himself before all those who stood by him. He cried, “Make everyone go out from me.” So no one stayed with him when Joseph made himself known to his brothers.	Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren.	Then Joseph could not control himself in front of everyone standing before him, and he shouted, “Have everyone leave me!” So there was no one with him when Joseph made himself known to his brothers.	Then Joseph could no longer control himself before all his attendants, and he cried out, “Have everyone leave my presence!” So there was no one with Joseph when he made himself known to his brothers.
2	But he wept so loudly that the Egyptians heard him, and Pharaoh’s household soon heard of it.	And he wept aloud, so that the Egyptians heard it, and the household of Pharaoh heard it.	And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard.	Then he wept so loudly that the Egyptians heard <i>it,</i> and the household of Pharaoh heard <i>about it.</i>	And he wept so loudly that the Egyptians heard him, and Pharaoh’s household heard about it.
3	Joseph said to his brothers, “I am Joseph! Is my father still alive?” But they were unable to answer him, because they were terrified in his presence.	And Joseph said to his brothers, “I am Joseph! Is my father still alive?” But his brothers could not answer him, for they were dismayed at his presence.	And Joseph said unto his brethren, I <i>am</i> Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.	And Joseph said to his brothers, “I am Joseph! Is my father still alive?” But his brothers could not answer him, for they were terrified in his presence.	Joseph said to his brothers, “I am Joseph! Is my father still living?” But his brothers were not able to answer him, because they were terrified at his presence.
4	Then Joseph said to his brothers, “Please come near me.” And they did so. “I am Joseph, your brother,” he said, “the one you sold into Egypt!	So Joseph said to his brothers, “Come near to me, please.” And they came near. And he said, “I am your brother, Joseph, whom you sold into Egypt.	And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I <i>am</i> Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.	Then Joseph said to his brothers, “Please come closer to me.” And they came closer. And he said, “I am your brother Joseph, whom you sold to Egypt.	Then Joseph said to his brothers, “Come close to me.” When they had done so, he said, “I am your brother Joseph, the one you sold into Egypt!
5	And now, do not be distressed or angry with yourselves that you sold me into this place, because it was to save lives that God sent me before you.	And now do not be distressed or angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life.	Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.	Now do not be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me ahead of you to save lives.	And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you.
6	For the famine has covered the land these two years, and there will be five more years without plowing or harvesting.	For the famine has been in the land these two years, and there are yet five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvest.	For these two years <i>hath</i> the famine <i>been</i> in the land: and yet <i>there are</i> five years, in the which <i>there shall</i> neither <i>be</i> earing nor harvest.	For the famine <i>has been</i> in the land these two years, and there are still five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvesting.	For two years now there has been famine in the land, and for the next five years there will be no plowing and reaping.
7	God sent me before you to preserve you as a remnant on the earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance.	And God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant on earth, and to keep alive for you many survivors.	And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.	So God sent me ahead of you to ensure for you a remnant on the earth, and to keep you alive by a great deliverance. 8	Therefore it was not you who sent me here, but God, who has made me a father to Pharaoh— lord of all his household and ruler over all the land of Egypt.	So it was not you who sent me here, but God. He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house and ruler over all the land of Egypt.	So now <i>it was</i> not you <i>that</i> sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.	Now, therefore, it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh and lord of all his household, and ruler over all the land of Egypt.	“So then, it was not you who sent me here, but God. He made me father to Pharaoh, lord of his entire household and ruler of all Egypt.
9	Now return quickly to my father and tell him, ‘This is what your son Joseph says: God has made me lord of all Egypt. Come down to me without delay.	Hurry and go up to my father and say to him, ‘Thus says your son Joseph, God has made me lord of all Egypt. Come down to me; do not tarry.	Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not:	Hurry and go up to my father, and say to him, ‘This is what your son Joseph says: “God has made me lord of all Egypt; come down to me, do not delay.	Now hurry back to my father and say to him, ‘This is what your son Joseph says: God has made me lord of all Egypt. Come down to me; don’t delay.
10	You shall settle in the land of Goshen and be near me— you and your children and grandchildren, your flocks and herds, and everything you own.	You shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near me, you and your children and your children’s children, and your flocks, your herds, and all that you have.	And thou shalt dwell in the land of Goshen, and thou shalt be near unto me, thou, and thy children, and thy children's children, and thy flocks, and thy herds, and all that thou hast:	For you shall live in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near me, you and your children and your grandchildren, and your flocks and your herds and all that you have.	You shall live in the region of Goshen and be near me—you, your children and grandchildren, your flocks and herds, and all you have.
11	And there I will provide for you, because there will be five more years of famine. Otherwise, you and your household and everything you own will come to destitution.’	There I will provide for you, for there are yet five years of famine to come, so that you and your household, and all that you have, do not come to poverty.’	And there will I nourish thee; for yet <i>there are</i> five years of famine; lest thou, and thy household, and all that thou hast, come to poverty.	There I will also provide for you, for there are still five years of famine <i>to come,</i> and you and your household and all that you have would be impoverished.”’	I will provide for you there, because five years of famine are still to come. Otherwise you and your household and all who belong to you will become destitute.’
12	Behold! You and my brother Benjamin can see that I, Joseph, am the one speaking with you.	And now your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin see, that it is my mouth that speaks to you.	And, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that <i>it is</i> my mouth that speaketh unto you.	Behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin <i>see,</i> that it is my mouth which is speaking to you.	“You can see for yourselves, and so can my brother Benjamin, that it is really I who am speaking to you.
13	Tell my father about all my splendor in Egypt and everything you have seen. And bring my father down here quickly.”	You must tell my father of all my honor in Egypt, and of all that you have seen. Hurry and bring my father down here.”	And ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen; and ye shall haste and bring down my father hither.	Now you must tell my father of all my splendor in Egypt, and all that you have seen; and you must hurry and bring my father down here.”	Tell my father about all the honor accorded me in Egypt and about everything you have seen. And bring my father down here quickly.”
14	Then Joseph threw his arms around his brother Benjamin and wept, and Benjamin wept as they embraced.	Then he fell upon his brother Benjamin’s neck and wept, and Benjamin wept upon his neck.	And he fell upon his brother Benjamin's neck, and wept; and Benjamin wept upon his neck.	Then he fell on his brother Benjamin’s neck and wept, and Benjamin wept on his neck.	Then he threw his arms around his brother Benjamin and wept, and Benjamin embraced him, weeping.
15	Joseph kissed each of his brothers as he wept over them. And afterward his brothers talked with him.	And he kissed all his brothers and wept upon them. After that his brothers talked with him.	Moreover he kissed all his brethren, and wept upon them: and after that his brethren talked with him.	And he kissed all his brothers and wept on them, and afterward his brothers talked with him.	And he kissed all his brothers and wept over them. Afterward his brothers talked with him.
16	When the news reached Pharaoh’s house that Joseph’s brothers had come, Pharaoh and his servants were pleased.	When the report was heard in Pharaoh’s house, “Joseph’s brothers have come,” it pleased Pharaoh and his servants.	And the fame thereof was heard in Pharaoh's house, saying, Joseph's brethren are come: and it pleased Pharaoh well, and his servants.	Now when the news was heard in Pharaoh’s house that Joseph’s brothers had come, it pleased Pharaoh and his servants.	When the news reached Pharaoh’s palace that Joseph’s brothers had come, Pharaoh and all his officials were pleased.
17	Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Tell your brothers, ‘Do as follows: Load your animals and return to the land of Canaan.	And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Say to your brothers, ‘Do this: load your beasts and go back to the land of Canaan,	And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Say unto thy brethren, This do ye; lade your beasts, and go, get you unto the land of Canaan;	Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Say to your brothers, ‘Do this: load your livestock and go to the land of Canaan,	Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Tell your brothers, ‘Do this: Load your animals and return to the land of Canaan,
18	Then bring your father and your families and return to me. I will give you the best of the land of Egypt, and you shall eat from the fat of the land.’	and take your father and your households, and come to me, and I will give you the best of the land of Egypt, and you shall eat the fat of the land.’	And take your father and your households, and come unto me: and I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eat the fat of the land.	and take your father and your households and come to me; and I will give you the best of the land of Egypt, and you will eat the fat of the land.’	and bring your father and your families back to me. I will give you the best of the land of Egypt and you can enjoy the fat of the land.’
19	You are also directed to tell them: ‘Take wagons from the land of Egypt for your young children and your wives, and bring your father and come back.	And you, Joseph, are commanded to say, ‘Do this: take wagons from the land of Egypt for your little ones and for your wives, and bring your father, and come.	Now thou art commanded, this do ye; take you wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come.	Now you are ordered, ‘Do this: take wagons from the land of Egypt for your little ones and for your wives, and bring your father and come.	“You are also directed to tell them, ‘Do this: Take some carts from Egypt for your children and your wives, and get your father and come.
20	But pay no regard to your belongings, for the best of all the land of Egypt is yours.’ ”	Have no concern for your goods, for the best of all the land of Egypt is yours.’”	Also regard not your stuff; for the good of all the land of Egypt <i>is</i> yours.	And do not concern yourselves with your property, for the best of all the land of Egypt is yours.’”	Never mind about your belongings, because the best of all Egypt will be yours.’”
21	So the sons of Israel did as they were told. Joseph gave them wagons as Pharaoh had instructed, and he also gave them provisions for their journey.	The sons of Israel did so: and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the command of Pharaoh, and gave them provisions for the journey.	And the children of Israel did so: and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the commandment of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way.	Then the sons of Israel did so; and Joseph gave them wagons according to the command of Pharaoh, and gave them provisions for the journey.	So the sons of Israel did this. Joseph gave them carts, as Pharaoh had commanded, and he also gave them provisions for their journey.
22	He gave new garments to each of them, but to Benjamin he gave three hundred shekels of silver and five sets of clothes.	To each and all of them he gave a change of clothes, but to Benjamin he gave three hundred shekels of silver and five changes of clothes.	To all of them he gave each man changes of raiment; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred <i>pieces</i> of silver, and five changes of raiment. 23	And he sent to his father the following: ten donkeys loaded with the best of Egypt, and ten female donkeys loaded with grain and bread and provisions for his father’s journey.	To his father he sent as follows: ten donkeys loaded with the good things of Egypt, and ten female donkeys loaded with grain, bread, and provision for his father on the journey.	And to his father he sent after this <i>manner</i>; ten asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she asses laden with corn and bread and meat for his father by the way.	And to his father he sent the following: ten male donkeys loaded with the best things of Egypt, ten female donkeys loaded with grain, bread, and sustenance for his father on the journey.	And this is what he sent to his father: ten donkeys loaded with the best things of Egypt, and ten female donkeys loaded with grain and bread and other provisions for his journey.
24	Then Joseph sent his brothers on their way, and as they were leaving, he said to them, “Do not quarrel on the way!”	Then he sent his brothers away, and as they departed, he said to them, “Do not quarrel on the way.”	So he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that ye fall not out by the way.	So he sent his brothers away, and as they departed, he said to them, “Do not quarrel on the journey.”	Then he sent his brothers away, and as they were leaving he said to them, “Don’t quarrel on the way!”
25	So the brothers went up out of Egypt and came to their father Jacob in the land of Canaan.	So they went up out of Egypt and came to the land of Canaan to their father Jacob.	And they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan unto Jacob their father,	Then they went up from Egypt, and came to the land of Canaan, to their father Jacob.	So they went up out of Egypt and came to their father Jacob in the land of Canaan.
26	“Joseph is still alive,” they said, “and he is ruler over all the land of Egypt!” But Jacob was stunned, for he did not believe them.	And they told him, “Joseph is still alive, and he is ruler over all the land of Egypt.” And his heart became numb, for he did not believe them.	And told him, saying, Joseph <i>is</i> yet alive, and he <i>is</i> governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob's heart fainted, for he believed them not.	And they told him, saying, “Joseph is still alive, and indeed he is ruler over all the land of Egypt.” But he was stunned, for he did not believe them.	They told him, “Joseph is still alive! In fact, he is ruler of all Egypt.” Jacob was stunned; he did not believe them.
27	However, when they relayed all that Joseph had told them, and when he saw the wagons that Joseph had sent to carry him back, the spirit of their father Jacob was revived.	But when they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said to them, and when he saw the wagons that Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of their father Jacob revived.	And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived:	When they told him all the words of Joseph that he had spoken to them, and when he saw the wagons that Joseph had sent to carry him, then the spirit of their father Jacob revived.	But when they told him everything Joseph had said to them, and when he saw the carts Joseph had sent to carry him back, the spirit of their father Jacob revived.
28	“Enough!” declared Israel. “My son Joseph is still alive! I will go to see him before I die.”	And Israel said, “It is enough; Joseph my son is still alive. I will go and see him before I die.”	And Israel said, <i>It is</i> enough; Joseph my son <i>is</i> yet alive: I will go and see him before I die.	Then Israel said, “It is enough; my son Joseph is still alive. I will go and see him before I die.”	And Israel said, “I’m convinced! My son Joseph is still alive. I will go and see him before I die.”
