Apply Moses' leadership daily?
How can we apply Moses' leadership example in our daily Christian walk?

Seeing Moses Through Stephen’s Lens

“ ‘He led them out and performed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, at the Red Sea, and for forty years in the wilderness.’ ” (Acts 7:36)

A Leader Led by God

• Moses answered a divine call, not a personal ambition (Exodus 3:10).

• Leadership began with listening at the burning bush and continued by following the pillar of cloud and fire.

• Daily application: start each day by submitting plans to the Lord and letting His Word set the agenda (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Bold Faith Against Impossible Odds

• Moses confronted Pharaoh with nothing but a staff and God’s promise (Exodus 5:1).

• Red Sea faith: “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and see the LORD’s salvation” (Exodus 14:13-14).

• Daily application: speak truth graciously, refuse intimidation, and expect God to make a way where none seems to exist.

Dependence on the Supernatural

• “Wonders and signs” in Egypt and the desert showcased God, not Moses.

• New-covenant believers rely on the Spirit’s power, not mere human skills (Acts 1:8).

• Daily application: pray for the Spirit’s enablement before tackling tasks, trusting Him for results that glorify Christ.

Perseverance Through Long Wilderness Seasons

• Forty years of manna and sand required steady endurance.

Hebrews 3:5 commends Moses as “faithful…in all God’s house.”

• Daily application: stay faithful in routine duties, remembering that consistency often precedes breakthrough (Galatians 6:9).

Humble Servant Leadership

• “Moses was a very humble man, more so than any man on the face of the earth” (Numbers 12:3).

• Humility kept him teachable—even receiving counsel from Jethro (Exodus 18:17-24).

• Daily application: welcome correction, celebrate others’ gifts, and resist the urge to protect personal titles or turf.

Intercessor Standing in the Gap

• Moses pleaded for Israel after the golden calf (Exodus 32:11-14).

• He offered to be blotted out for their sake—a foreshadow of Christ (Exodus 32:32).

• Daily application: lift coworkers, family, and leaders before God, carrying their burdens as your own (1 Timothy 2:1).

Living as a Signpost to Someone Greater

Deuteronomy 34:10-12 links Moses’ mighty deeds to intimate friendship with the LORD.

1 Corinthians 10:1-2 notes that the people were “baptized into Moses,” pointing ahead to baptism into Christ.

• Daily application: let every success, skill, or milestone direct attention to Jesus, not self (John 3:30).

Daily Steps to Walk Like Moses

1. Begin with surrendered listening—open Scripture before opening email.

2. Act promptly on what God says, even when timing feels inconvenient.

3. Expect divine power to accompany obedience, not precede it.

4. Keep commitments over the long haul; faithfulness outweighs flash.

5. Cultivate humility through accountability and gratitude.

6. Intercede regularly, naming individuals and situations until peace comes.

7. Redirect praise to the Lord whenever affirmation arrives.
